Work in Fintech (WIF), a social project that aims to increase diversity and access for young people in financial technology and the semantic web3 industry that relies more on artificial intelligence (AI) for the next generation of the Internet, has unveiled payabl. as its paytech sponsor and supporter for its imminent Work in Fintech Summit 2025 to be held in London on Friday 24 January at the Investment2020 venue in the City. Organized in conjunction with The Investment Association, a UK trade body for investment managers, the Summit will offer graduates and talented youngsters mentorship, the potential chance to win investment in future for any nascent innovative ideas via the Creator element, and training. The event will also act as a networking forum for coders, technologists, fintech professionals, bankers, hedge funds, exchanges and others to gather to meet and help the next generation of fintech professionals. ​Thekla Paschali, chief technology officer (CTO) of payabl., will be one of the speakers. The paytech firm already has an established relationship with WIF in this area. Other high-profile financial services (FS) business partners it says support the organization include Revolut, SIX, TP ICAP and ipushpull – some of whom will also be in attendance at the Summit in the City of London, alongside Lloyds Banking Group.WIF has a wide network of partners and senior leaders across investment banks, brokers, and fintech vendors. It provides graduates with access to career advice, coaching opportunities and resources. The aim of the Summit on 24 January is to empower aspiring fintech professionals to be able to broaden their knowledge of the FS and fintech industry by actually meeting them. Young talent from diverse backgrounds, aged 18-30, will gather for a day of career workshops, panels, and hackathons. Program of events Workshops at the WIF Summit 2025 are intended to showcase a wide range of sectors within fintech and the variety of job roles that are available, while panel discussions will explore key industry themes such as AI, data & analytics, product management, engineering, financial apps and financial education. The Creator aspect of the day is intended to showcase innovative, experimental  ideas. The aligned hackathon stream is designed to foster innovation by challenging the aspiring fintech professionals to develop AI-powered personal financial assistants. Their aim is to promote financial literacy and make personalised financial planning accessible to all.
