Enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions provider Unit4 has appointed outgoing Finastra CEO Simon Paris as its new chief.Simon Paris to join Unit4 as CEOParis will succeed Mike Ettling, who has served as Unit4’s CEO since 2019. Ettling will hand over the reins at the end of January, with Paris’ appointment effective 3 February.Founded in 1980, Unit4 specialises in solutions that help mid-market businesses automate core functions across finance, HR, procurement, project management and enterprise planning, serving more than 5,100 customers globally.Speaking on the leadership transition, Ettling says Paris holds “all the qualities needed” to lead the company “toward our ambitious goal of €1 billion in revenue”.Paris brings to the position over 25 years of tech experience, most notably including his six-year tenure as CEO of financial software provider Finastra, which claims to have achieved double-digit Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth under his leadership.Paris’ departure from Finastra was announced just last week, with former Avantax head Chris Walters appointed in his place.
