CSTTemporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) is a federally funded state program created with the mission of providing support to low-income households so that parents can cover their basic living costs, including food, clothing, housing, home energy and child care.It is a program aimed at families with children under the age of 18 who are struggling and in need, to provide them with cash benefits to help cover essential needs and a foundation of financial stability.TANF is an assistance program that has become a staple in the United States, with thousands of people benefiting from TANF Cash Benefits payments. Each state has its own eligibility rules and sets a monthly payment schedule.In order to be eligible for the TANF program, applicants must meet certain requirements, such as the maximum level of family income, the value of their assets and expenses related to the care and maintenance of their children.Payments to people eligible for the TANF program are generally issued on the first business day of the month following approval, but some states distribute direct deposits according to a staggered schedule throughout each month.
