Stock market update: Power stocks mixed as market rises 

​NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading mixed on Friday at 11:06AMKPI Green Energy Ltd.(up 5.00%), GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd.(up 2.78%), Ravindra Energy Ltd.(up 2.74%), Power and Instrumentation(Gujarat)Ltd.(up 2.00%), Energy Development Company Ltd.(up 1.57%), Reliance Power Ltd.(up 1.54%), Tata Power Company Ltd.(up 1.52%), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.36%), Karma Energy Ltd.(up 1.21%) and Transformers & Rectifiers(India)Ltd.(up 0.99%) were among the top gainers. ACME Solar Holdings Ltd.(down 2.54%), Jyoti Structures Ltd.(down 2.10%), Indowind Energy Ltd.(down 1.68%), Adani Power Ltd.(down 1.45%), Indo Tech Transformers Ltd.(down 1.29%), NLC India Ltd.(down 1.23%), SJVN Ltd.(down 1.21%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.18%), Inox Wind Energy Ltd.(down 1.06%) and Kalpataru Projects International Ltd.(down 0.93%) were among the top losers.The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 15.41 points up at 23618.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 25.77 points at 78083.93 at around 11:06AM. Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 4.89%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.97%), Trent Ltd.(up 2.95%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.47%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.64%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.47%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.44%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.41%), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.41%) and Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 1.23%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.33%), ITC Ltd.(down 1.73%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.09%), State Bank of India(down 1.01%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.94%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(down 0.81%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.78%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.75%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.75%) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.68%) were trading in the red.(You can now subscribe to our ETMarkets WhatsApp channel)
