Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises 

​NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Friday at 11:26AMOriental Trimex Ltd.(up 4.22%), NMDC Ltd.(up 2.48%), KIOCL Ltd.(up 1.01%), The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd.(up 0.89%), Coal India Ltd.(up 0.74%), MOIL Ltd.(up 0.53%), Pokarna Ltd.(up 0.20%) and Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(up 0.06%) were among the top gainers. Ashapura Minechem Ltd.(down 2.33%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.(down 0.90%), 20 Microns Ltd.(down 0.30%), Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(down 0.26%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd.(down 0.10%) and Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.(down 0.02%) were among the top losers.The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 73.25 points up at 23676.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 181.74 points at 78239.9 at around 11:26AM. Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 5.15%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 3.57%), Trent Ltd.(up 3.51%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.6%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.56%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.08%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.84%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.73%), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.72%) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.63%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.88%), ITC Ltd.(down 1.56%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.93%), State Bank of India(down 0.71%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.62%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.55%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(down 0.49%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.43%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 0.43%) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.41%) were trading in the red.(You can now subscribe to our ETMarkets WhatsApp channel)
