SBA Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman recently launched the SBA’s AI for Small Businesses Resource Hub and participated in the inaugural SBA AI Small Business Summit in Atlanta. The summit, held in collaboration with Georgia Tech and leading technology companies, highlighted the potential of AI for small businesses and the resources available to them at the SBA and across the federal government.
During the summit, Administrator Guzman emphasized the importance of staying up to date with the latest technology for business growth and resilience. The SBA’s AI for Small Businesses Resource Hub serves as a launch point for small business owners to access partners, tools, and resources for integrating AI into their operations.
The summit featured speakers from Microsoft, Google, Mailchimp, and OpenAI, as well as small businesses and experts from Georgia Tech. Discussions focused on the possibilities of AI within daily business operations and provided small business owners with a greater understanding of its potential.
Under the Biden-Harris Administration, the country has seen a significant increase in new business applications, including over one million in Georgia alone. The SBA has also reported a rise in lending to underserved communities, including Black-, Latino-, minority, rural, and women-owned small businesses, as well as lending in rural communities.
The launch of the SBA’s AI for Small Businesses Resource Hub and the inaugural AI Small Business Summit demonstrate the SBA’s commitment to supporting small businesses and promoting innovation. By providing access to resources and fostering partnerships, the SBA is helping small businesses thrive in the ever-evolving business landscape.
