Paymob, an Egypt-based B2B merchant financial services platform, has been granted a Retail Payment Services (RPS) licence by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE).Paymob expands into the UAE with new RPS licenceThe licence enables Paymob to provide merchants in the UAE with its full omni-channel payment suite, which includes services for domestic fund transfers, payment aggregation and merchant acquiring.Furthermore, with its RPS licence authorisation, obtained through a “rigorous approval process”, Paymob intends to grow its UAE-based workforce to support its expected growth in the market.Paymob offers a platform that allows businesses to manage finances and process payments, both online and offline, using over 50 methods, including international cards and mobile wallets.The platform’s expansion to the UAE joins its existing operations in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Oman and Egypt, across which it claims to have served over 390,000 merchants since launching in 2018.
