Proxymity, a UK-based digital investor communication platform connecting investors with intermediaries and issuers, has raised $26 million from existing investors BNP Paribas, BNY, Citi, Clearstream, Computershare, JP Morgan and State Street.Proxymity raises $26 million for tech and market expansionFounded by Jonathan Smalley and Dean Little, the platform was developed through Citi’s D10X innovation programme before launching under the group in 2018. The company was subsequently spun out into an independent business in 2020.Building upon a $31 million Series B, Proxymity says its latest fundraise has been earmarked to “further enhance its technology as well as for geographic expansion” beyond the 25 markets it currently serves worldwide.The company, headquartered in London, previously launched its Vote Connect Total solution in North America in 2023 with BetaNXT subsidiary Mediant, and more recently debuted new Vote Connect Global services in collaboration with Citi last December.Combined, these products give investors and intermediaries “the ability to vote at any general meeting worldwide, with comprehensive coverage and direct vote execution capability”, according to a company statement.
