CSTThe government of California has introduced an initiative for a $725 stimulus check that will help families cope with rising costs of living and inflation.Since December 15, 2024, monthly payments will be implemented for eligible families and will continue until November 2025.Stimulus check: Who is eligible to receive a payment of $600 in February?The program aims to provide relief to households hardest hit by inflation and economic challenges, and will focus on families that were excluded from previous stimulus checks.For example, priority will be given to specific demographics, including low-income families with young children, residents of Sacramento County and communities disproportionately affected by economic hardship.As the first payments begin to be distributed, it is important to know the eligibility criteria, payment schedule and application process.The ongoing impact of inflation has put enormous pressure on household budgets, where basic needs such as food, housing and health care have become increasingly difficult for many low-income families.Many families across the state of California did not have the opportunity to previously receive their respective stimulus payments due to technicalities or lack of awareness.The $725 stimulus program is designed to address these gaps, ensuring more inclusive financial relief. By prioritizing African American and Native American families in Sacramento County, the program ensures that historically underserved groups receive the help they need.The program was designed to target those who need it mostEligibility depends on annual household income, and we explain the maximum monthly income depending on the number of people living in the same household.For example, if there is only one person living in the household, the stimulus payment they will receive is $30,000 over 2025; if two people live in the household, it increases to $40,000; three people will receive $50,000; and for four or more inhabitants per household, the stimulus payment will be $60,000.Only California residents are eligible, with a focus on specific zip codes in Sacramento County, and proof of residency, such as utility bills or rental agreements, must be provided throughout the application process.Priority is given to families with at least one child under the age of five.
