Fintech Firm Dropped from Sprawling Evolve Ransomware Litigation 

Financial software maker Branch Manager Inc. evaded claims in a sweeping consolidated class action accusing Evolve Bank & Trust of employing inadequate cybersecurity protections and enabling a June 2024 ransomware attack that leaked the information of swaths of customers.Evolve was hit with a series of proposed class actions in July over the attack, alleging it failed to implement reasonable data security practices to protect customers’ personally identifiable information.
