Starting Wednesday, February 12th, Family Promise of the Coastal Empire is welcoming the public to learn more about personal finances this spring, with a focus on tax returns.“We are excited to bring this initiative back as a collaborative effort after two years, bringing together dedicated community professionals and leaders to address the financial challenges faced by parents in our area,” said Katrina Bostick, Executive Director of Family Promise.“We see firsthand the challenges many families face in managing their finances while raising a family, juggling the rising cost of rent and inflation. Our goal is to provide accessible budgeting and debt reduction resources that will empower families to build a stable household and achieve long-term financial security” The 5-part spring series will include topics such as:• Know Your Numbers – “Crack the Code: Demystifying Tax Refunds Cut Debt and Build Wealth”• Cut Debt and Build Wealth “Refund Hacks: From Debt to Dollars”• Protecting Your Future with Insurance and Estate Planning – “Plan Today, Secure Tomorrow”.• Workshops will be offered weekly on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Volunteers are needed to support the evening workshops, including help with childcare, food sponsorships, and presenters.
