Martha Dali Mghendi-Fisher and Nadja van der Veer have stood down as registered directors of the European Women Payments Network (EWPN).EWPN reshuffles leadershipMghendi-Fisher and van der Veer founded EWPN with Silvia Mendorff-Pouilly, head of business development EMEA enterprise at Worldpay, in 2015.The not-for-profit organisation, headquartered in the Netherlands, facilitates a collaborative network for women working across the finance, cards, fintech and payments industries in Europe.“EWPN Community is a living example of the power of genuine interconnections between different people from all walks of life and experiences, coming together, driven by one core belief of driving tangible change,” explains Mghendi-Fisher.Active in 52 locations, the volunteer-led network is due to host its seventh annual conference and awards in Amsterdam this October.Having led EWPN for the past decade, Mghendi-Fisher and van der Veer are now stepping down as registered directors, but will continue serving as special advisors to the group.Joining Mensdorff-Pouilly as registered directors are Angela Yore and Merima Mahmutovic. Yore is best recognised across the industry as the founder and CEO of SkyParlour PR, and will also join EWPN’s statutory board as chair.Mahmutovic, who serves as senior manager of PwC SEE, has been appointed chair of EWPN’s executive board, while Mensdorff-Pouilly will also serve as chair of the advisory board.The fourth and final appointment goes to Melanie Ockerse, who currently serves as VP of account management EMEA at Enersekt, and will now chair EWPN’s country ambassadors, who act as official representatives of the network in their home countries.This leadership transition is “set to help drive impact relevant to the challenges and opportunities of the next decade and this powerful community from all walks of life will continue to grow together to make the payments industry stronger”, according to the organisation’s statement.
