In its latest bid to expand private markets coverage, Bloomberg has invested in data platform Daphne Technologies.The Daphne platform allows alternative asset managers to normalise and share private markets data, connecting asset managers, distribution partners and investors.Fund data is organised in a standardised product master, allowing fundraising and investor relations teams to more easily enact due diligence and publish fund updates, the company said. Daphne also offers investment engagement analytics for asset managers.Through the partnership, alternative asset managers will be able to publish data directly to the Bloomberg Terminal. Apollo Global Management is expected to be the first to use the service, distributing select investment fund data.The investment is part of Bloomberg’s broader engagement with private markets, by which it aims to overall data consistency and coverage of the space. Brad Foster, head of fixed income and private markets, said: “We plan to provide solutions that collectively address our clients’ priorities across both public and private markets, including helping asset managers easily expand their networks for distribution of this valuable information.”A Bloomberg designee will join the Daphne board, along with current investors including Apollo, Motive Partners and Hamilton Lane.©Markets Media Europe 2025TOP OF PAGE
